During the Board Meeting our President Stefano Bettocchi confirmed to the Board that the Presidency would be transferred to Vice President Chuck Miller at the end of March 2011 and it was subsequently agreed that the Vice Presidential elections, and indeed the elections for the new Board, would be conducted around the ISGE meeting to be held in Cairo in September 2011.

Privileges are clinical functions that a healthcare Institution permits a physician to perform while caring for patients in that Institution. This privilege belongs to each individual Hospital although “ portable ” privileges may be granted by National bodies such as the Medical Practitioners & Dentists Board. Each hospital should ideally develop criteria and mechanisms for granting clinical privileges to health professionals.
