A number of pre-existing clinical conditions generally accepted as contraindications to vaginal hysterectomy will be associated with TLH such as nulliparity or no prior vaginal delivery, previous caesarean or pelvic surgeries, adnexal pathologies, severe endometriosis (Unger, 1999).
