News from the Administrative Office
We wish this New Year, 2007, to be a very happy and prosperous
year for all our ISGE members, a year of transition for our Society.
At the annual meeting in Osaka the administrative office and the
honorary secretarial functions will be merged into one office, the secretariat.
Our member Robert O’ Shea has accepted to take on this position,
and we, at the administrative office, wish him all the best. The new

In the meantime the work continues. After the very successful
Buenos Aires annual meeting, many new members from South America have
joined ISGE. During the Beijing meeting some of the leading
endoscopists from the Peoples Republic of China did join.
Our next annual meeting will be in Osaka Japan. As the Executive
Committee and the Board would like to suggest changes in the structure
of our ISGE. it becomes very important to have as many members as
possible at the General Assemble to approve or disapprove these
changes. I will make sure that the proposed items will be sent to you
in due time, as foreseen by the bylaws, as for you to have the time to
reflect on them.
The General Assemble will be held at the Osaka convention centre
on Monday March 19th . The exact location and time will be sent to you.
Talking about Osaka. Our Japanese members have organised an
excellent scientific program. The opening of the annual meeting of the
ISGE takes place on Sunday March 18th and the conference will go on through Wednesday March 21.
