Dear Colleagues

On behalf of The International Society for Gynecologic Endoscopy (ISGE), it is my honor and privilege to invite you to participate in our society’s 19th Annual Congress to be held May 26-29, 2010 in Sydney Australia. This year’s meeting promises to be a truly outstanding educational endeavor, as it will be held in conjunction with the Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery Society’s (AGES) XX Annual Scientific Meeting. The theme of our ambitious program could not be more relevant and timely – ‘Gynecological Endoscopy: has it come of age?’

There will be in depth discussions on minimally invasive surgical techniques, including robotics, hysterectomy, treatment of gynecologic malignancies, fibroids, pelvic floor prolapse, and endometriosis. Presentations will also focus on hysteroscopy, pain, and infertility management. Controversial topics, such as infertility and in-vitro fertilization, natural orifice surgery, as well as cosmetics and the gynecologist are sure to be stimulating and thought provoking.

The International Society for Gynecologic Endoscopy remains committed to the introduction and adoption of minimally invasive gynecologic surgical techniques worldwide. With a totally international focus, comprised of an international membership and board, after nearly 20 years of existence, the ISGE remains the leading truly international society advancing gynecologic endoscopy.

We are most grateful to have the opportunity to co-host this memorable World Congress in beautiful and exciting Sydney, Australia with the Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery Society. AGES has long been recognized within the international community as one of the leading country based minimally invasive gynecologic surgical societies. The commitment of its membership from throughout Australia and New Zealand to the advancement of gynecologic endoscopy continues to be legendary.

So, please do plan to join us ‘Downunder’ May 26-29, 2010 for this unique scientific and cultural opportunity. I promise you a truly international program complimented by the talent and graciousness of the ISGE and AGES. Cordially,

Prof. Stefano Bettocchi, ISGE  President

Dr Charles E. Miller, ISGE Vice President,

Dear Colleagues

On behalf of the Australasian Gynecological Endoscopy and Surgical Society (AGES) and The International Society for Gynecologic Endoscopy (ISGE) it is our honour and privilege to invite our International and Australian colleagues to the combined ISGE 19th Annual Congress in conjunction with the AGES XX Annual Scientific Meeting. The theme of the meeting is ‘Gynaecological Endoscopy: has it come of age?’ We are delighted to co-host such an exciting meeting.

An extensive international and national faculty has already been confirmed for this meeting. The Congress will aim to address the pros and cons of the laparoscopic approach in a wide range of gynaecological topics including robotics, hysterectomy, treatment of gynaecologic malignancies, fibroid, pelvic floor repair and endometriosis.

The program will consist of two concurrent sessions, two plenary lectures each day, free communications and each day will conclude with the controversial topic of the day. These sessions will stimulate, excite and encourage interaction and discussion.

Both these societies have long been recognised for their commitment and leadership in minimally invasive gynaecologic surgery. Please join us in Sydney Australia for what will be a truly International program and for unforgettable Australian Hospitality.

Sincerely

A/Prof. Alan Lam President, AGES
