Free communications sessions will be held on Saturday 4 June.
All abstracts selected will be published in the Conference Abstract and Program Book.

Dr John Miklos from Georgia, USA
Dr Robert Moore from Georgia, USA
Prof. Peter Lotze from Texas, USA
Dr Peter Lotze is a Urogynaecologist from Houston Texas with special interest in prolapse repair, teaching of pelvic anatomy,
incontinence surgery and chronic pain syndromes
Dr John Miklos is Co-Director of the Atlanta Centre for Laparoscopic Urogynecology and an accomplished laparoscopic and
vaginal pelvic reconstruction surgeon. His special interests include vaginal aesthetic surgery and labioplasty.
Dr Robert Moore is also Co-Director of the Atlanta Urogynaecology Center for Laparoscopic Urogynecology and a world leader
in minimally invasive and laparoscopic pelvic floor reconstruction and vaginal reconstructive surgery. He has a special interest in
labioplasty and other cosmetic vaginal surgery.
Drs Miklos and Moore have successfully combined advanced laparoscopic pelvic surgery with minimally invasive vaginal reconstructive surgery with great success in Atlanta, Georgia. Both have published widely on prolapse and vaginal aesthetic surgery.

Boston Scientific: Pelvic Floor Institute 2.0 Clinical Symposium on Female Pelvic Anatomy and Reconstructive Surgery

Guest Speaker Dr Peter Lotze MD FACOG (USA)\Course Description: The objective of this program is to enhance the participant’s understanding of anatomical structures of the pelvis and their relationships to both implanted Prosthetic Vaginal Mesh Systems and Single Incision Slings.
Video resources from the Pelvic Floor Institute demonstrating sagittal cross sections of cadaver pelvises will be utilised. The faculty will describe dissections and demonstrate deployment of the devices during the symposium. Anatomical areas of focus include the Sacrospinous Ligament, Obturator Internus, and relevant neighbouring structures. Devices featured are Pinnacle® Pelvic Floor Anterior/Apical and Posterior Repair Kits, Uphold™ Vaginal Support System, and Solyx™ Single Incision Sling.
Learning Objectives: Offer unique perspective on key anatomical landmarks using video footage of hemi-pelvis Facilitate deeper understanding of prolapse and sling placement in pelvic cavity Outline the surgical essentials necessary to perform safe pelvic floor reconstruction. AGES Medico-Legal Workshop in collaboration with the Law Society of South Australia
Practical Medico-Legal Report Writing & Court Appearance For Gynaecologists
Adelaide Convention Centre Sir Samuel Way Building, Supreme Court of South Australia

Pre-Workshop Preparations and Procedures: Registrants write a medico-legal report on a fictitious gynaecological case in response to a request by either a plaintiff or a defendant lawyer.
Each Registrant will receive the case notes, a letter of request from either a plaintiff or a defense lawyer, a copy of the statement of claims and a copy of the regulations for expert witness reports. Your report is to be submitted by 19 May.
At the Workshop: Your evidence in chief will be examined in court by a barrister. You will have approximately 10-15 minutes in the witness box answering questions related to your report. Your performance will be videoed. The video will then be reviewed and your performance discussed in private with your examining barrister.
You will then observe your colleagues in the witness box.
After lunch the opposing barrister will cross-examine you in the witness box, trying to expose any weaknesses in your argument. Again this will be videoed and reviewed.
Finally, all groups will meet, discuss proceedings and review the experience. All candidates will receive comments on their written report.
