Through project funders,  purchasing and delivery of instruments for laparoscopy and cystoscopy together with installation of full set equipment for gynecological and surgical laparoscopy was successfully  accomplished in Hebron Ministry of Health Hospital and in the Palestinian Medical Complex in Ramallah.
After tutoring sessions involving the hospital staff on safe use and maintenance of these equipments and instruments, they are currently in use for the benefit of the patients.

Alfonso and I were in Hebron and Ramallah for an Intensive Course in Gynecological Basic and Advanced laparoscopy. Live surgeries were performed in both the hospitals with procedures ranging from diagnostic laparoscopy to endometriosis. Great emphasis was given not only to show the procedures but especially to teach both doctors and OR technicians and nurses the use of the generators, the cleaning and assembling of instruments, the setting of the full OR.

Worshops and Live surgeries from the Rafidia Hospital (Nablus), Alia Hospital (Hebron) and Ramallh Hospital were also organized again by AISPO and the Italian Association of Endoscopic Surgery (SICE) together with the Palestiniam Minister of Health. The workshops were held to support the Palestinian doctors’ skills as a part of the LMT project objectives.
Participant were professionals from West Bank hospitals, and the live surgeries were streamed by audio-video connection. from The Rafidia Hospital to and from the Hebron and Ramallh Hospitals. This inter-hospital connection was the first experience of e-learning network connectivity  in the Palestine and the surrounding countries, and for the future the three hospitals will be permanently connected as a tool for the Continuing Medical Education (CEM). E-learning is quite important in a country were moving around is sometimes near to impossible!!
