The first international ISGE-CAGES Conference and Postgraduate course held in Jamaica in March 2017 highlighted the use of interactive cased based learning to arrive at a consensus was well received by all participants and has generated a call to action for this learner-centred approach. Through collaboration with the ISGE, the society will continue to deliver postgraduate courses and workshops throughout the Caribbean to “Train the Trainers” to ensure proficiency in MIGS.
We welcome the decision by the ISGE to grant Centre of Excellence status to the Hugh Wynter Fertility Management Unit, The University of the West Indies, Jamaica.
CAGES is dedicated to ensuring the latest, most relevant, evidence-based approaches in the delivery of MIGS throughout the English Speaking Caribbean and we welcome ISGE’s support and mentorship to allow us to achieve these goals.
