It is with great pride and anticipation that we present to you Issue 3, Volume 6 of The Trocar. This edition marks a special milestone in the history of our journal: for the very first time, it is published as a bilingual edition. With this step, we acknowledge and celebrate the remarkable contributions of our colleagues from South America, whose research, clinical expertise, and commitment to advancing gynecological endoscopy have enriched our society over the past year and beyond.
The International Society for Gynecological Endoscopy (ISGE) was founded on the belief that medicine, particularly surgical innovation, flourishes through the free exchange of knowledge and experience. Our mission is to create a platform where physicians, surgeons, and researchers from every corner of the globe can share their skills and insights, thereby driving progress that benefits patients worldwide. This issue embodies that mission. By extending our content across languages, we are making knowledge more accessible, encouraging dialogue, and strengthening collaboration across borders.
This special issue places its main focus on surgical endometriosis surgery, an area that continues to challenge and inspire gynecological surgeons worldwide. Endometriosis remains one of the most complex conditions in our field, demanding both technical precision and a multidisciplinary approach. The contributions presented here reflect the latest surgical strategies, highlight innovative techniques, and offer critical discussions on how to improve outcomes for patients who live with this often debilitating disease.
In a time where healthcare challenges are increasingly global, we recognize our responsibility not only to foster technical excellence, but also to promote inclusivity in medical education and patient care. Language should never be a barrier to participation, and by broadening our reach, we hope to ensure that more voices are heard and more patients ultimately benefit from the advances in minimally invasive gynecological surgery.
This edition brings together a wide spectrum of scientific contributions that reflect the diversity and depth of our community. From innovative surgical techniques in endometriosis management to research findings as well as practical case discussions, the articles in these pages represent the shared effort of professionals dedicated to improving outcomes for women everywhere.
We warmly invite you to immerse yourself in this issue, and to take part in the ongoing exchange of knowledge that defines ISGE. Together, by building bridges across continents and languages, we move closer to our common goal: advancing gynecological care for the benefit of women globally.
Best regards
